Description of the current state of affairs
The condominium in Via Lombardia 23, consisting of 30 residential units distributed over 7 floors above ground and a basement, had typical characteristics of the buildings of the years of construction: hollow brick masonry, obsolete windows and doors and autonomous wall-mounted boiler systems, with high heat loss and energy consumption.
Redevelopment interventions
The intervention involved a complete redevelopment of the envelope and systems, with particular attention to improving living comfort and sustainability:
- external insulation of the perimeter walls
- renovation of the roof and insulation of the floor of the first mezzanine
- Replacement of windows and doors with high-performance models
- replacement of wall-mounted boilers and construction of a new condominium heating plant
- Installation of a photovoltaic system with condominium storage batteries
- Replacing the elevator with a more efficient and affordable model
Thanks to this integrated plan, the building has made a significant leap in efficiency, going from energy class F to class A3, with a significant reduction in consumption and an improvement in the quality of life for residents.
