Description of the current state of affairs
The main building of the Boni Foundation, located in Viale Cadorna 4 in Suzzara, is a building built and expanded between the eighties and nineties.
In the following years, other volumes were built, not the subject of the current intervention.
The building, characterized by the exposed brick cladding that defines its architectural identity, presented energy and plant engineering criticalities that required a global redevelopment.
Redevelopment interventions
- Insulation of the perimeter walls with rock wool cladding system
- Thermal insulation of the roof and attic
- Replacement of windows and shading systems, with high energy performance solutions
- Redevelopment of the heating system, with the introduction of advanced monitoring systems and intelligent consumption management
- Installation of a photovoltaic system for the production of renewable energy
- Implementation of Building Automation systems, for integrated and efficient plant management
- Seismic improvement intervention to increase structural safety
Results
The intervention has made it possible to make a leap in quality both from an energy and structural point of view, with the transition from energy class D to class A2. A result that translates into reduced consumption, greater comfort for users and environmental sustainability, while preserving the historical architectural identity of the Foundation.
