Description of the current state of affairs
The complex, organized around an open internal courtyard, houses the spaces of the nursing home and has undergone a major energy redevelopment and seismic improvement, with the aim of making the structure safer, more sustainable and accessible.
Redevelopment interventions
- Seismic retrofitting with dry anti-seismic systems applied to the façade, without altering the aesthetics of the building
- Redevelopment of the heating system with heat pump systems for heating, cooling, DHW production and air treatment
- Integration of photovoltaic system with storage batteries to reduce consumption of the most energy-intensive components
- Replacement of windows and doors with high-performance thermal break windows and low-emission double glazing
- Removal of architectural barriers with the adaptation of lifts, stairs, systems and outdoor areas
Results
The intervention has led to an overall improvement in structural safety and energy efficiency, increasing comfort for guests and reducing the environmental impact of the structure.
